There are cities that just get into your blood, and for me, New York City has always had my whole heart. The energy, the fashion, the food, the beautiful, glorious chaos of it all. It's a place that has always inspired me, both personally and professionally. So when I was invited to be part of a bridal editorial shoot in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, I said yes before they even finished asking.
I'm so proud to share that Eventistry Weddings & Events has been featured in WedVibes Media, one of the most beautiful and globally recognized wedding publications, for A New York Bridal Editorial at the 3 West Club. And yes, I may have done a little happy dance when I saw it go live.
The Venue: Where History Meets Drama
The 3 West Club is not just a venue. It's a living piece of New York history. Once the private residence of industrialist Andrew Carnegie, this Midtown landmark carries the kind of atmosphere that no studio can manufacture. Think Gilded Age wood-paneled library rooms, a rooftop with the full Manhattan skyline as your backdrop, and the kind of old-world elegance that makes every image feel like it belongs in a museum. I was completely in love with every corner of this space.
The City as the Co-Star
One of my favorite things about this shoot was that we didn't shy away from the city itself. Part of the editorial moved out onto Fifth Avenue, yellow cabs, busy sidewalks, Midtown as it actually is. And that's so New York to me. The fashion, the grit, the beauty all coexisting in the same frame. The photographers, Angie Mandl and Jess & Sebastian, captured it all with such a natural, confident eye. They leaned into the chaos, and honestly, it made the whole shoot.
Editorial Planning is Its Own Art Form
People sometimes ask me if editorial work is very different from planning a real wedding, and my honest answer is: both require an enormous amount of intention and organization, just in different ways. With a real wedding, I'm holding the vision and logistics of one of the most important days of someone's life. With an editorial, I'm collaborating with a team of creatives to bring a mood, a story, an aesthetic to life, with no room for "we'll figure it out." Every detail has to be curated, every decision purposeful.
For this shoot, that meant working alongside an incredibly talented group: a stunning gown called Sabrina by designer Guillermo Pharis (a high-neck, lace-bodiced, tiered tulle ball gown that practically glowed in that space), florals by Luna Luxe Events in all white calla lilies, spider mums and garden roses, jewelry by 1010 EDIT, and hair and makeup by Julia Valldi. The styling was seamless. The whole team brought something special.
A Publication I Truly Admire
Being asked to join this WedVibes editorial was a genuine honor. WedVibes is a global platform that celebrates the finest in wedding artistry, and being listed among the creatives featured in this shoot is something I'll always be proud of. If you haven't seen the full editorial yet, you can view it here.
A Little Love Letter to NYC
I'd be leaving something out if I didn't say it: New York City has always had my whole heart. The way people dress there, the restaurant around every corner that somehow changes your life, the way the whole city hums at a frequency that makes you feel more alive. Whenever I'm there for work, I always try to steal a few hours just to walk, eat, and absorb it. This shoot gave me all of that, and then some.
To everyone on the creative team, thank you for a truly unforgettable experience. And to our clients: this is the level of detail, creativity, and care I bring to everything I do, whether it's an editorial shoot or your wedding day.
